L'ATEM SDI Extreme ISO est un commutateur vidéo professionnel conçu pour le contrôle de plusieurs caméras dans des environnements où seuls des signaux SDI sont utilisés. Il comprend toutes les fonctions de l'ATEM SDI Pro et dispose de 8 entrées SDI, ce qui permet de connecter différentes sources vidéo telles que des caméras ou d'autres appareils. Chaque entrée peut reconnaître automatiquement le format vidéo utilisé, ce qui rend le flux de travail très flexible. Il y a également 4 sorties SDI qui peuvent être utilisées pour le contrôle ou la distribution du signal.

L'une des fonctions les plus appréciées est la possibilité d'enregistrer simultanément neuf flux vidéo au format H.264, c'est-à-dire le programme final et le flux propre de chaque source. Cette fonction est particulièrement utile en post-production, où chaque signal peut être récupéré et réédité ultérieurement. En outre, tous les fichiers enregistrés sont sauvegardés en tant que projet DaVinci Resolve, prêt pour le montage, avec toutes les sources automatiquement synchronisées.
