La Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 offre les mêmes fonctionnalités que les grandes caméras de studio, mais dans un format compact et portable. Par rapport à la Studio Camera 4K Plus G2, elle dispose d'un capteur Super 35 et d'une monture pour les objectifs Canon EF, ainsi que d'autres fonctionnalités supplémentaires.

Ce modèle, doté d'une connectivité professionnelle 12G-SDI et 10G Ethernet, est conçu pour les configurations dans lesquelles la caméra et les puissants commutateurs SDI sont très éloignés les uns des autres. Elle comprend une sortie 12G-SDI et une entrée 12G-SDI - pour le retour du programme complet avec contrôle de la caméra, talkback et Tally - ainsi qu'une sortie HDMI efficace avec fonctions de contrôle.
