LED technology in lighting engineering has brought with it many improvements and advantages. This certainly includes energy savings, which are considerable in relation to incandescent or discharge sources.

While the control signal of the fixture (DMX, ArtNET, etc.) can be wirelessly operated, the current must in any case always be conveyed by cable, at least today.

What do we do in situations where there's no power connection?

Let's analyse some typical cases and, in particular, let's try to understand how i battery-powered AFX products can solve a real problem.

In the first case let's take the illumination of a backdrop. In this type of installation we have to look for one uniform and sufficiently powerful diffusion and at the same time minimise the aesthetic impact of the projectors: these could ruin the scenography.
