The Blackmagic PYXIS 12K L is a full-frame digital cinema camera designed to deliver the highest image quality and operational flexibility needed for modern feature film production.

Its 12K RGBW sensor (12,288 x 8040 pixels) with a built-in optical low pass filter delivers exceptional detail, natural color rendition, and 16 stops of dynamic range, making it ideal for high contrast scenes and HDR workflows.

The camera body is completely modular and customizable: side plates and multiple mounting points allow the camera to be configured to suit your production needs, from a lightweight handheld rig to complex setups for filmmaking, commercials, or VFX. The active L-mount allows for the use of modern full-frame lenses and a wide range of adapters, significantly expanding your creative possibilities.

The PYXIS 12K L records Blackmagic RAW in all resolutions, with the ability to simultaneously generate H.264 proxies for a faster workflow. It features dual CFexpress card slots and a high speed USB-C port for recording directly to external SSDs. The 4" touchscreen provides instant camera control, while 12G-SDI connectivity, professional audio, high precision Time Code and a 10G Ethernet port allow for integration into multi-camera productions and cloud workflows with Blackmagic Cloud and DaVinci Resolve.
