The HPA SC‑2288C is the base microphone and gooseneck microphone for the HPA SC‑2288R wireless conference system and serves as the main control unit within the system's UHF network. It communicates with the base via radio transmission in the 610 – 659.75 MHz band, ensuring stability and an operating range of up to approximately 60 meters. The base microphone incorporates a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides approximately eight hours of continuous use and up to twenty-four hours of standby time, allowing for uninterrupted meetings and conferences.

The gooseneck microphone features a hypercardioid capsule designed to capture voices precisely, reducing ambient noise and improving speech intelligibility. An LED indicator on the tip clearly indicates when the microphone is active, so all participants can see who is speaking. The unit features an LCD display on the body that shows essential information such as battery level, selected channel, and microphone status, while three buttons allow you to adjust the volume, channel, and identification settings.

As the chairman version, the SC-2288C offers advanced conference management features: the priority button allows the chairman to temporarily mute delegates' microphones, maintaining order and control during discussions. The system also supports transmission encryption, ensuring the confidentiality of communications in corporate or institutional settings. In practice, the microphone automatically connects to the base, transmits audio in real time, and allows the chairman to direct the discussion with simple and immediate tools, while maintaining high sound quality and completely wireless operation.
