VPL-PHZ51 is a very bright professional video projector for its price range (5800 lumens central), with a compact and incredibly light design, which makes it discreet and easy to integrate into AV environments such as museums, conference rooms, university auditoriums, large lecture halls and Esport applications. The fact that it can handle 4K input signals (even if its native resolution is 1920 x 1200 pixels) simplifies use in multiscreen configurations with secondary LCD screens.

The projector's intelligent settings adapt to the environment thanks to a brightness sensor: automatically adjust parameters to obtain better images and save energy. It also adopts a new anti-dust system.

Support 4K 60p input

Support for 4K 60p input signals makes life easier when using the VPL-PHZ51 projector in multi-screen setups with secondary displays. Simply output the same 4K signal to all displays with no conversion required. There is also a high-performance image converter that easily converts 4K input signals to WUXGA resolution, achieving image quality close to 4K. Now optimized for 4K 60p signals, Reality Creation is Sony's unique image optimization feature that delivers even sharper, deeper projected images. There is also support for devices with content protection, such as 4K UHD players.

Smart design and easy to install

Flexible installation options offer a wide vertical lens shift range of 55% that makes it easy to create perfectly proportioned images without long bracket mounting or keystone correction when the projector is mounted on a ceiling. Sony has also expanded the range of throw ratios, making it easy to replace a previously installed projector without the hassle of repositioning an existing ceiling mount.

Smart design

Intelligent settings simplify setup and maximize performance based on usage, image detail, color vibrancy and fidelity, brightness, cooling level and output noise. The Meeting / Classroom feature controls the laser output to maintain the highest possible brightness to provide years of real-world use.

Forget the dust

The projector's laser light source is sealed to prevent dust buildup and eliminate brightness reduction issues. The dedicated cooling duct structure for 3LCD panels is covered by an air filter to prevent dust from entering it.

Hassle-free filter maintenance

The new dust filtering system means that replacement filters are only one throwback for general use in classrooms and meeting rooms. For heavier use in dusty environments, there is a new obstruction sensor that indicates when the filter needs cleaning.

Data cloning

Settings from one projector can be copied to other projectors using a USB memory drive. This greatly simplifies the installation and configuration of multiple units.

Automatic input selection

The automatic input selection function automatically selects an active signal input, so there is no need to change the input every time a device is connected to the projector.

Automatic power on

By connecting the VPL-PHZ51 to a powered-on computer, the projector wakes up automatically, without having to use the power button.
