RdmSplitter (RJ-45) is an optically isolated splitter/booster for DMX and RDM networks, designed to overcome the structural limitations of the DMX-512 protocol.

Despite being a widely used and reliable standard, the latter has some restrictions: a single line can handle a maximum of 32 devices, must be wired in a bus topology, and should not exceed 300 meters in length. The RdmSplitter (RJ-45) directly addresses these limitations by distributing the DMX signal across 6 output ports, enabling a more efficient and flexible star topology. Each output can drive an additional 32 devices and supports an additional 300 meters of cabling, regenerating the signal and functioning as a true booster.

The device offers DMX-512/RDM ports on RJ-45 connectors, designed to transmit the signal over standard network cables and simplify wiring in modern installations. An RJ-45 input receives the main DMX/RDM signal, while the six RJ-45 output ports redistribute it to the different lines. Compatibility with the RDM protocol enables bidirectional communication, allowing automatic device addressing and the return of status information to the lighting controller.

The compact form factor with only RJ-45 ports makes the RdmSplitter (RJ-45) particularly suitable for systems already using network cabling, patch panels, or LED drivers with RJ-45 connectors, reducing installation time and the need for adapters.
