MADRIX - STELLA 8

STELLA 8 is an 8-port controller with RDM support, designed to provide complete, high-performance DMX control. It is a versatile and reliable device, designed to meet the needs of professional lighting installations, thanks to a combination of advanced features and practical solutions for integration into various contexts.

The front panel features a USB port that also powers the device, along with status LEDs for quick verification of overall operation and dedicated indicators for each port for monitoring output status. The eight physical DMX ports are fully configurable: each can be managed as an input, output, or a merge of two signals, offering maximum flexibility in distributing DMX universes. Completing the package is a USB-C port on the bottom of the device for easy connection when STELLA 8 is mounted on a DIN rail, while a reset button allows for instant recovery.

The system supports Art-Net and Streaming ACN (sACN) in both unicast and multicast modes, with the option of bidirectional conversion between DMX and network protocols. Thanks to real-time merging, up to eight sources can be combined without delay, with HTP/LTP modes configurable automatically or manually. Each network port operates at 1 Gbit/s. The device can also be powered via PoE. Dual power supplies ensure redundancy and operational continuity, while integrated backup strategies provide security for even the most complex installations.

Among the innovations is the integrated web interface, which simplifies configuration via a standard browser and allows you to manage network settings, channel mapping, patterns, and snapshots. The source priority system allows you to establish hierarchies between Art-Net, sACN, and other operating modes, while the DMX Watcher allows you to monitor DMX parameters passing through the device in real time. STELLA 8 can also function as a protocol converter, ensuring RTM compatibility and expanding integration possibilities. Surge protection, firmware updates, and a dual bootloader complete the package of reliability and security.

Integration with MADRIX RADAR represents an additional strength: all RDM devices connected to STELLA 8 are automatically unlocked in the software, making ANSI E1.20 and E1.37-1 specifications available via Art-Net. Thanks to Packet Multitasking, RDM and Art-Net can be sent and received simultaneously, ensuring smooth operation even in real time.
